The Village of Pinehurst!
 Few
places in the world are like the Village of Pinehurst and Southern Pines
area. All located in the heart of the Sandhills of North Carolina. Known

when Donald Ross began his legacy as course architect. The Village of
Pinehurst, designated a National Landmark in 1996, is the only site recognized
for its significant role in U.S. golf history. The famous Pinehurst's eight
golf courses make it the world's largest golf resort. And they have just
announced the plans for additional courses 9 and beyond! It's only fitting that
it hosted the 1999 U.S. Open and will play host to this prestigious tournament
again in 2005.
 Beyond the gorgeous greens lies so much
more for golfers and non-golfers alike. The year round mild climate opens
the door to many other sporting events in both Pinehurst and Southern Pines.
